Get other people involved! Ask around if people want to buy cards. Many people just like the convenience of not having to run all over the place.

Design a spending box! This takes some money up front. Purchase cards for places you frequent and keep them available. If you want to go out for dinner or rent movies you pay for it out of the box. When deciding where to go you will be limited to using what is in the spending box. If you are going to spend it anyway, you may as well get some return. One mom states they haven’t eaten at McDonald’s in a year because they don’t offer scrip’s and Burger King gives back 3%.

Others only buy cards for necessity items, such as gas, groceries, prescriptions, etc. This way it is more controlled.
